Tongue Coral (Polyphyllia sp.) This coral has many common names - Slipper, Tongue, Mole or Hairy Tongue. Its scientific name Polyphyllia is derived from the Greek words poly (many) and phyllon (leaf) describing the leafy shape of its skeleton.
